Burlington Cemetery Burial Listings
in Longmont, Boulder County, Colorado (online)
Information donated by Chrisy Griffith and Contributed for use
by the USGenWeb Project. Chrisy has created an alphabetical listing of
each burial in the Burlington Cemetery and at the end of the list
added the Block and Lot number. From Chrisy's introduction: "This
transcription of graves is a combination of walking through and
copying information from the gravestones, looking at books at the
library, and cross-referencing them with a list produced by Dwight E.
Ward in 1987 and updated by the Longmont Genealogical Society in
1994. He based his records on maps, a list produced by Irene
Hart Greenwood in 1971, another earlier list done by an unknown author
and some additional research. Mr. Ward’s and Ms. Greenwood's lists can
also be viewed at the Longmont Public Library. She also includes this
helpful tip: If you go to Burlington Cemetery and try to locate a
grave, a good hint for finding some of the hard-to-find ones is look
for iris plants. These have been planted around many of the sites to
make them easier to locate. Be sure and read the full
introduction for other helpful ideas! Thank you Chrisy for all your
work.
