This is definitely the class for anyone hoping to start their genealogy search but not sure where or how to get started. It might also fit those of you who need a little refresher course on the basics. We'll start with your decision on where to save your new family tree (paper, computer software or on one of the Internet sites), what websites I recommend for early researching (or not) and lots of discussion and questions on various topics. “Family Tree Maker” Software, the Basics

Having a specific place to save the research you find on your family is key to being organized. “Family Tree Maker” (FTM) is a software program that you can buy and load onto your computer for your use. The FTM Program allows for direct input of data to Ancestry and download from FamilySearch tree. This course will be an intro and cover the basics of how to get started. Presented by Mick Mickelson.
